Ein Jailbreak der iOS-Versionen 4.0, 4.0.1, 4.0.2 und 4.1 kann mit dem Tool “Limera1n” durchgeführt werden.

iOS-Versionen iOS 4.2.1

Ein Jailbreak von iOS 4.2.1 kann nur mit dem Tool Greenpois0n RC6.1 vorgenommen werden.

iOS-Versionen iOS 4.3, iOS 4.3.1, 4.3.2 und 4.3.3

Für den Jailbreak der iOS 4.3, iOS 4.3.1, 4.3.2 und 4.3.3 könnt ihr das Tool “redsn0w” nutzen.

Unlock der Basebands 02.10.04, 03.10.01 und 04.10.01

Einen Unlock der Basebands 02.10.04, 03.10.01 und 04.10.01 (auszulesen unter Einstellungen – Allgemein – Info – Modem-Firmware oder mit dem Tool f0recast http://ih8sn0w.com/index.php/welcome.snow ) gibt es nicht.
Solltet ihr einen Unlock benötigen, darf auf keinen Fall die reguläre Firmware 4.1, 4.2.1, 4.3.1, 4.3.2 oder 4.3.3 aufgespielt werden! Solltet ihr bereits eines der genannten Basebands installiert haben, ist definitiv kein Unlock mehr möglich. Es besteht dann definitiv auch keine Möglichkeit mehr, einen Baseband-Downgrade vorzunehmen. Es kann außerdem niemand sagen, ob und wann wieder ein neuer Unlock erscheinen wird.

Unlock der Baseband 01.59.00

Sofern ihr aber noch das Baseband 01.59.00 besitzt, besteht aber die Möglichkeit, ein Update mit einer Custom Firmware (CFW) durchzuführen und dabei das alte Baseband und somit die Unlock-Möglichkeit zu behalten. Eine 4.3.2-CFW kann man in Verbindung mit “sn0wbreeze” eine 4.3.3 mit dem “PwnageTool” erstellen und aufspielen. Ihr könnt auch fertige Customfirmwares verwenden, die ihr in diesem Thread findet. Eine fertige CFW wird immer im pwned DFU aufgespielt, zum Beispiel mit iREB für Windows oder mit redsn0w.
Nach dem Jailbreak müsst ihr zunächst alle Cydia-Updates ziehen lassen und dann in Cydia nach ‘ultrasn0w’ suchen und installieren sowie einmal rebooten, das war’s schon.
ultrasn0w ist in der Repo http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com hinterlegt, die mit dem Jailbreak bereits installiert wird und unter ‘Verwalten’ – ‘Quellen’ zu finden ist.
